thots of the lemurian whale

why do u keep me in this world?

oh lord, why do you keep me in this world?

why cant you just take me away…

in this world where i have constantly hurt people… a world where all my actions are deemed wrong… a world where all my promises are deemed ‘empty’… a world where apparently i have always been lying to… a world where i will never be able to make my loved ones happy… a world where i can hardly hold & recognise myself…

if is in your wills, take me away oh lord… take me away from all these pain and misery…

  1. Left you a comment on your Shitty Sillypore entry. The one with loads of profanities?

Anyway, with regards to this post, allow me to tear it apart.

“why cant you just take me away…”

I don’t believe in God but do you seriously think a divine being capable of creating the universe is going to solve your problems by simply “uncreating” you? I think he’d need to be little more “big picture” than that since he created a self sustaining universe that has been in existence for more than 2 milleniums. Give him a bit more credit can?

“in this world where i have constantly hurt people… a world where all my actions are deemed wrong… a world where all my promises are deemed ‘empty’… a world where apparently i have always been lying to… a world where i will never be able to make my loved ones happy… ”

Seems like you’re living life by the standards of others. People’s standards sway on individual levels and vary across board. What’s deemed wrong to one may be right the next day, week, month, year etc. What’s deemed right for one might come across as an audacious mistake for another. What pleases a loved one today might upset the same person the next. What makes a loved one happy might as a result upset another. It’s impossible to please anyone and everyone on a constant basis. Futile effort if that’s what you’re seeking to achieve.

“…a world where i can hardly hold & recognise myself…”

It’s hard to recognise anything from a 3rd person’s perspective. ie: You trying to recognise yourself through the eyes of one (or many) who is/are trying to see you through their eyes. The complexity of this statement explains it all. Do what you think is right. I think our parents brought us up well enough to make us good judge of what’r right and wrong. We may not choose to do the right thing all the time, but that doesn’t mean we’re not capable of it.

    I’m worried about you.

    Your sister
